Day two (imaginative title, huh!)

I’ve just watched the women’s coxless pair row to victory in the 1500m!!  Team GB’s first Gold!  I’m really enjoying the olympics – it’s a good excuse to sit in front of the tv with my knitting.  Yesterday I knitted another blanket square for a mumsnet blanket – and I promise I will try to upload some pictures when I work out how!  And this afternoon brings the men’s trampolining – heats and finals – and I am really looking forward to that, as I used to do a bit of trampolining myself – in the dim and distant past.  I actually have my Elementary Bronze Award for trampolining, and if I had been able to do a back somersault without landing face first on the trampoline, I would have got my Elementary Silver!  << buffs nails nonchalantly >>

Today’s positive thing:

Well – it’s my wedding anniversary – N and I have been married 20 years.  We’ve had our ups and downs, but I am happy that we have made it to 20 years, and that our life together is pretty good now.  Not perfect, but I don’t think perfection is possible – but with a base state of peaceful happiness and security.
