Happy New Year!

Standard

This is what I am hoping for – a happy 2013 – happier in myself, I mean.  I have a good life, a loving husband and family, a nice home and good friends – there is nothing there I could wish to improve on – but I need to improve myself, and my attitude towards myself, because that is what is holding me back.

That really was the aim of this blog – to find the positive things and focus on them, rather than focusing on the negative aspects and letting them colour my view of myself.  So, my New Year’s resolution is to be better at keeping up this blog, and more importantly, better at focusing on, and believing in, the positives.

One thing I have realised – as I tend to be at the computer each morning, after I have had coffee and read the paper, it there won’t have been much of the day to find positive things about, so each morning’s post should be about the previous day’s Positive Thing or things. I should have realised this sooner!

So – my Positive Things for New Year’s Eve – the friendship of the lovely ladies of knitting group, the amount of knitting I got done yesterday, the delicious ox cheek pie I made for supper, and the happiness of seeing the New Year in with N and the boys.
