Peace and quiet.

N is out walking the dogs (though they have been out over an hour so will probably be back soon), and No 2 and No 3 sons are off for a hockey match – so that leaves just me in the house.  I like being alone like this – I can do what I want, when I want, and I don’t feel lonely.  Even before the invention of the interweb, being alone never bothered me, because I could go into the world of books and find new worlds and new people there.

N and the dogs are back – so that is the end of peace and quiet.  N is not good at relaxing and peacefulness – he is a bit of a duracell bunny – but that is a good thing, because if we were both as laid back as I am, nothing would ever get done!!

And still no snow – which is a Positive Thing as far as three-quarters of the family are concerned, so I shall consider it thus – even though secretly I would like to be looking out on a quiet, white landscape!

Update – only minutes after I finished typing this, snow began to fall.  Admittedly it is only the odd tiny flake drifting lazily down, and you have to look really hard to see it at all – but we do have snow!  I am trying not to get all over excited, otherwise there might be Tears before Bedtime! << grins >>
