Slightly more positive this weekend.

Friday was pretty gloomy, I am sorry to say – but I accept that days like that are still going to happen, and that the thing to do is to get through them as well and as comfortably as possible and then move on.

I did have one fairly positive thing on Friday – and that was making chicken and bacon stovies for supper, which N and I both enjoyed (but sadly the boys were not so keen on).

Yesterday was an OK day – I didn’t set an alarm, and had a long lie-in, which I really enjoyed, and then settled down for an afternoon on the couch, watching tv and playing with the ipad.  The best bit of the day, though, was sitting in the conservatory, which had warmed up beautifully in the sun, and reading.  It is my favourite room in the house, partly because it has no tv or screens in it, and partly because the boys very rarely use it, so it is a peaceful place to go.  It does need a bit of a sort out, as my yarn stash is overflowing its containers – but I have the seeds of a plan to use up some of it.

Today has been good too – another lie-in, and then a trip to Hobbycraft, which is always fun.  Lunch was horrible, though – a disgusting toasted ciabatta, dry cake flavoured with chemical banana flavouring, and an unpleasant drink.  Altogether a bit of a disappointment.  The rest of the afternoon is going to involve knitting, tv and the ipad again.

I’m still a bit headache-y, which is still pulling my mood down a bit.
