It’s a beautiful day.

Gorgeous sunshine outside, a lovely morning spent at the knitting group – sewing in ends on my crochet squares, which was a bit tedious but needs doing, and now a quiet afternoon at home.

Plus major sporting achievements – not mine, sadly – though I am sure it was my encouragement from my sofa in Renfrewshire that tipped the balance in Andy Murray’s match yesterday, and enabled him to WIN WIMBLEDON!!  As the commentators have made sure we know, it is 77 years since a British man last won Wimbledon – and Andy did it in stirring style – straight sets, and some brutal and amazing tennis!

Not only that, but Chris Froome is still in the yellow jersey in the Tour de France, after a huge mountain stage in the Pyrenees, where he lost all his team early on, and had to battle on on his own – and held on, to stay in yellow!
